August 10th, OKX CEO Star announced that the team had achieved a major engineering milestone last week: successfully migrating the high-traffic core trading system from one country to another while the crypto market was running 24/7, with no user-perceivable downtime throughout the process.

Star stated that the only impact during the migration was a brief delay of approximately 30 to 40 minutes. This migration involved key trading infrastructure and required ensuring data integrity, transaction continuity, and operational stability across jurisdictions simultaneously, presenting significant challenges.

He mentioned that the team believes this achievement may be the first attempt of its kind in the industry at a similar scale. Although it cannot be confirmed at present whether it is a historical first, it is undoubtedly an extremely challenging engineering feat. This event also showcases the development of OKX's trading system in terms of stability, engineering capabilities, and scalability.
