August 10th, according to The Data Nerd, mining firm MARA's Bitcoin sales in the first half of this year far exceeded what was previously reported in the market. The data shows that MARA sold a total of 23,093 BTC in the first half of 2026, valued at around $1.6 billion, with an average selling price of approximately $70,631 per BTC.

As of now, MARA still holds 35,577 BTC, valued at around $2.3 billion based on the current market price.

The Data Nerd stated that previous market attention was more focused on MARA's Bitcoin reserve growth, but the actual selling scale is quite considerable. This action reflects that the mining firm, amidst high capital expenditures and market environment changes, is adjusting its capital structure by selling some of its BTC.
