A Liquidity Provider Questions BitMart's Insolvency and Accuses the Exchange of Encouraging Lockup, Making Funds Unrecoverable

Aug 11, 00:08

August 11th, OpenGradient co-founder Matthew posted that the liquidity provider (LP) team's funds on the BitMart trading platform are currently unable to be withdrawn, with the reason suspected to be related to the platform's insolvency.

Matthew stated that BitMart, in the week leading up to the suspension of its services, still required token holders to lock their assets on the exchange, a behavior that was "shocking." He believed that BitMart's previous actions to encourage user lockups were essentially just to obtain liquidity.

As of now, BitMart has not responded to these allegations. This incident has raised concerns in the community regarding the security of funds on centralized exchanges, asset custody, and liquidity management risks.
