According to Data Beating monitoring, popular tech blogger "Asu in Coding" was recently revealed to have joined the Meituan Beam team and was introduced through the Beidou Plan. Last Friday, her Meituan MIS ID was briefly searchable, with her current job level being either L7 or L8.

Back in March, she listed a ByteDance job offer on her personal GitHub, sparking rumors that she would join ByteDance. However, by May, due to issues with resume packaging and open-source contributions, she faced severe criticism in the tech community.

The controversy mainly focused on DeerFlow. While she did participate in the project, some in the community, upon reviewing public contribution records, believed that she had packaged her relatively limited contributions as a more critical project experience. Her descriptions of her ByteDance position and high-paying job offer experiences were also questioned for potential exaggeration.

The Beam team she was reportedly joining is part of Meituan's AI Agent project initiated by Wang Puzhong, Meituan's core local business CEO. The goal is to create a "personalized life assistant for everyone." The project later evolved into the "Xiao Mei" AI life assistant, aiming to directly integrate Meituan services such as dining and hotels, enabling the AI to not only answer questions but also help users complete practical tasks.
