AI Code Testing Takes Off: Blacksmith Valuation Soars Nearly 10x in Less Than a Year
According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, AI code testing company Blacksmith has completed a $45 million Series B funding round, valuing the company at $550 million. The round was led by Peak XV Partners, with continued participation from GV and Y Combinator.
Less than a year ago, Blacksmith was valued at only $60 million during its previous funding round. This time, the valuation has increased by nearly 10 times. The company's customer base has also grown from over 700 to over 5,000.
Blacksmith originally focused on helping developers build and test code faster. It has now introduced the Codesmith Agent, which can automatically fix code that fails tests. As AI continues to speed up coding, testing and validation are becoming new bottlenecks.
