SanDisk completed a 63% rebound in two weeks, outperforming Micron and Toshiba by 26.8 and 30.2 percentage points, respectively.
August 14, according to TradingBeats monitoring, using the lowest price of each asset on Hyperliquid around July 29 as the reference, Sandisk (SNDK) has shown a significant lead in this round of storage rebound:
SNDK touched a low of $970.74 on the morning of July 30 and is now trading at $1587.8, with a cumulative rebound of 63.6%;
Meanwhile, MU reached a low of $705.76 during the same period, and is now trading at $965, with a cumulative rebound of 36.7%;
SKHX hit a low of $879.4 at noon on July 29, and is now trading at $1173.1, with a cumulative rebound of 33.4%.
Calculations show that Sandisk has outperformed Micron and SK Hynix by approximately 26.8 and 30.2 percentage points, respectively. In the past 24 hours, SNDK has risen by an additional 18.8%, while MU and SKHX have each risen by 6.8% and 6.4%, widening the strength gap.
Trading volume focus has also shifted towards Sandisk. In the past 24 hours, SNDK has seen a trading volume of approximately $695 million, exceeding SKHX's $601 million and reaching 3.7 times that of MU's $189 million. Although SKHX has had the highest cumulative trading volume of about $12.19 billion since July 28, short-term trading focus has recently shifted to SNDK.
Based on a snapshot taken on the morning of July 31 after the deleveraging at the beginning of the rebound, the open interest value of SNDK has increased from about $118 million to $184 million, a growth of 56.4%; SKHX has increased from $361 million to $493 million, an increase of 36.7%; MU has decreased from $166 million to $142 million, a decrease of 14.4%.
Excluding the impact of price increases, the actual open interest in SNDK has increased by about 18.8%, lower than SKHX's 26.6%; MU has decreased by 27.9%. This means that Sandisk's leadership advantage comes more from price gains and concentrated trading volume, while SKHX remains the most aggressive in leverage expansion among the three.
