Alkemya Metacore Raises $50 Million through Tokenized Equity Financing, Led by Gumi Cryptos Capital
September 1st, Alkemya Metacore announced the completion of a $50 million pre-IPO financing and plans to further raise funds through the issuance of tokenized equity ALKN. The financing round was led by Gumi Cryptos Capital, with participation from Maven 11, Metalayer, Joint Effects, and Tribe Capital, among other institutions.
Alkemya Metacore owns about 7 million meters of 99.99% pure ultra-high-purity nickel wire, with a diameter of only 0.025 millimeters, independently verified to be valued at around $16.4 billion. The assets are currently held in custody by an institution in Lugano, Switzerland.
The company plans to use the financing to process the nickel wire into engineered mesh products for applications in electromagnetic shielding, aerospace and defense, marine and desalination, power and industrial sectors, semiconductors, green hydrogen energy, and precious metal recycling.
The ALKN token will be issued by Luxembourg-based Alkemya Metacore SCSp and is planned to trade on regulated platforms like Bitfinex Securities. The new ALKN issuance price is $1 per token, targeting institutional and professional investors, with an issuance deadline of October 15th.
According to the revenue distribution mechanism, investor capital will receive priority full repayment and a preferred return calculated at 6% compound annual interest, while business profits will be shared between token holders and partners in an 80:20 ratio. The company stated that tokenized securities will help it reach global investors and provide a 24/7 on-chain trading channel for traditional physical assets.
