October 5: Metaplanet Inc. announced a net increase of 1,000 BTC during the third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. As of September 30, 2026, the group's total Bitcoin holdings increased to 44,000 BTC.

During the quarter, the group also implemented a Bitcoin sale and repurchase transaction aimed at demonstrating the ability to convert Bitcoin holdings into cash. The transaction is intended to enhance market confidence in the company's credit status and broaden future financing channels, including the issuance of corporate bonds and preferred shares, with the ultimate goal of further increasing the group's Bitcoin holdings.

Specifically, during the period, the group sold 10,000 BTC while repurchasing 11,000 BTC, resulting in a net increase of 1,000 BTC in its Bitcoin holdings.
