Global tech billionaires' wealth increased by $845 billion this year, setting a record high.

October 5th, according to Bloomberg, as of September, the wealth of about 100 tech billionaires worldwide increased by $845 billion, setting a new historical record, primarily driven by the AI boom and the surge in US tech stocks.

Their combined wealth reached $4.6 trillion, while billionaires outside the tech sector lost $62 billion. Elon Musk alone added $310 billion, accounting for about 40% of the overall increase in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
