DA Davidson raises Micron price target to $3,000, MU rebounds 8% from lows

Oct 8, 14:05

October 8 — DA Davidson recently raised its price target on Micron Technology from $2,100 to $3,000, an increase of about 42.9%, while maintaining a "Buy" rating. The firm believes Micron's growth prospects over the next 3 to 5 years have not yet been fully recognized by the market, and improved investor perception could drive a valuation re-rating.

Possibly affected by this, MU on Hyperliquid has seen a V-shaped rebound since yesterday's open, surging about 8% from its low at one point, now trading at $1,089.1, with同期 trading volume of about $86.65 million and open interest notional value of about $131 million.

Previously, Micron's earnings and next-quarter guidance released on September 30 U.S. Eastern Time both exceeded market expectations. After the earnings report, multiple Wall Street institutions continued to take a bullish view.

On October 1, Morgan Stanley maintained an "Overweight" rating and a $1,200 price target; Mizuho maintained an "Outperform" rating and raised its price target from $1,300 to $1,400; Bernstein maintained an "Outperform" rating and a $1,300 price target, believing the memory supply shortage could persist until 2028. On October 6, JPMorgan continued to give Micron an "Overweight" rating, with a December 2027 price target of $1,540.
