Gemini 4 Argon hidden in the new Antigravity release, three reasoning tiers already in place but still unusable

Beating AI News Flash: In the 2.23.0 update of Google's AI programming tool Antigravity, the full model identifier for Gemini 4 Argon has appeared, including Low, Medium, and High reasoning configurations.

The previous version 2.22.0 did not contain these elements, while the new version added 4 model IDs and 3 model selection menu names. However, these configurations are still hidden in the program code, and ordinary users cannot yet directly select Gemini 4 Argon.

Antigravity also removed several older models. Gemini 3.1 Pro, 3.6 Flash, and 3.7 Flash were marked for imminent retirement on October 12, and the next day users discovered that only Gemini 3.8 Flash remained in the model list. Another developer also found that the three Argon tiers were already ranked in the top three positions in the client's recommended model order, but requests to the corresponding interface still returned 404.

Google released Argon as early as September 30, but it is currently mainly available to selected cybersecurity partners, with plans to later cover paid API and Google AI Ultra users.
