US annual CPI rate hits a new high since May.

on October 14, the US September unadjusted CPI annual rate came in at 3.7%, the highest since May this year, exceeding the market expectation of 3.6%. The US September unadjusted CPI monthly rate came in at 0.6%, the highest since April this year.

Spot gold briefly dropped nearly $40, currently reported at $4,129.6 per ounce. Spot silver briefly fell $1, currently reported at $58.07 per ounce.
