October 26 — After Anthropic officially filed its S-1 prospectus today, discussions on X surrounding its financial data rapidly heated up. The bulls argue that the company has demonstrated "historic-level" growth and commercialization capability, providing support for a potential $2 trillion IPO valuation. Core bullish arguments include:

Revenue reached $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, an increase of approximately 14–15x compared to roughly $1.1–1.2 billion in the same period last year; third-quarter revenue further rose to $16.8 billion, up about 45% quarter-over-quarter. Renowned tech investor Peter Diamandis noted that Amazon, Google, and Apple each took 21 years, 10 years, and 20 years respectively to reach $16 billion in annual revenue, while Anthropic achieved it in just half a fiscal year.

Meanwhile, compute efficiency per unit improved significantly: every $1 invested in compute can now generate approximately $2.08 in revenue (a substantial improvement from before). Some analyses show that free cash flow turned positive in the first half (approximately $3.4 billion), and adjusted profitability along with a high net revenue retention rate (approximately 900%) further bolster confidence. Enterprise customer quality is also viewed favorably, with more than 11,900 customers paying over $100,000 annually.

The bulls emphasize that although a net loss of $80.7 billion appears on the books, most of it consists of non-cash accounting adjustments, and actual operating performance is far better than the "cash-burning" narrative. As products such as Claude accelerate enterprise adoption, the market is reassessing Anthropic's long-term growth potential.
