October 29: After 5 AM this morning, market rumors emerged that Marvell is in deep negotiations to acquire Lumentum, with a potential deal possibly announced as early as next week, though the two parties have not yet reached a final agreement.

Affected by the news, Lumentum (LITE) and Marvell (MRVL) on Hyperliquid showed sharp divergence: LITE surged over 20% at one point, while MRVL fell nearly 11% at one point. Combined trading volume of the two contracts in the first hour after the news was estimated at approximately $37.37 million.

Reuters cited Bernstein analysis noting that Marvell's latest quarter cash and cash equivalents were approximately $3.92 billion, while Lumentum's market cap is approximately $83 billion.
