Huawei Cloud discontinues its own Pangu 2.0 model service, recommends switching to DeepSeek and GLM.
Beating AI News Flash: Huawei Cloud announced on November 1 that its two self-developed model services, openPangu-2.0-Flash and Pro, will cease sales on November 6 and begin shutdown on November 30. After the official shutdown, users who have already integrated the models will no longer be able to make calls.
The two models were launched only a few months ago. The 92-billion-parameter Flash was open-sourced on June 30, and the 505-billion-parameter Pro was open-sourced on July 31. At the end of September this year, Huawei even just open-sourced the pre-training, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning code for Pangu 2.0.
Flash users are advised to migrate to DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017, while Pro users are advised to migrate to Zhipu GLM-5.3.
Huawei said a new generation of Pangu is in planning, but has not yet announced the specific model name or launch time.
