Beating AI News Flash: ByteDance's AI Agent platform Coze has announced the phased discontinuation of its currently sold Enterprise Edition. Starting November 30, the Enterprise Standard and Flagship editions will no longer accept new customer purchases. Legacy plans on Volcano Engine will be taken offline on December 31 of this year, while the new enterprise plans will be fully discontinued on December 31, 2027. Existing enterprise customers can still renew and purchase additional seats, but service terms cannot extend beyond that date.

An IDC report shows that in 2025, Coze ranked first in China's public cloud agent development platform market with a 19.3% revenue share. However, this niche market's total annual software revenue was only about RMB 250 million, putting Coze's corresponding scale at a rough estimate of just about RMB 48 million.

There were prior signs of this exit. In August, ByteDance merged the Coze and TRAE teams into the Doubao system, subsequently launching the office Agent "Doubao Work." AI coding, agent development, and office execution capabilities that were originally scattered across different products began to consolidate into Doubao.
