Scroll launches governance proposal: transitioning to a privacy-focused AI application-specific network and migrating SCR to Ethereum mainnet.
November 4: A protocol upgrade proposal has appeared on the Scroll DAO forum, planning to transform Scroll into a permissioned application-specific network for privacy AI, while migrating SCR to the Ethereum mainnet. The proposal states that if approved, the Scroll Foundation will lead the network upgrade and asset migration. The new network will serve an integrated AI product stack including Compass, Compass API, CENO, USX, and SCR, focusing on privacy AI interactions, secure credentials, agent workflows, payments, and compute coordination. The SCR supply and overall token economics remain unchanged, and SCR will continue to serve a governance function, with governance scope proposed to extend to core USX parameters and potentially serve as collateral for certain high-risk commitments and validators.
