November 5 — Russia's largest stock exchange, the Moscow Exchange (MOEX), has announced that it will open digital currency trading services to financial market participants starting December 1, 2026. The move marks the official launch of Russia's first organized digital currency market.

According to an official announcement published by the Moscow Exchange on November 2, trading will rely on the existing stock market's technical infrastructure and will be incorporated into the unified clearing system of the National Clearing Centre. Trading hours will align with the stock market, running daily from 06:50 to 23:50 Moscow time.

The first batch of supported assets includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDT), with both address-free (anonymous order book) and address-based trading modes available. The market will also offer same-day settlement (TOD), next-day settlement (TOM), and swap instruments for liquidity management.

The exchange stated that it will gradually expand its product offerings in the future to include more international and Russian domestic digital assets. Initial operations will be conducted in the form of pilot trading, with market participants onboarded progressively based on system readiness.
