November 6 - According to Vanda Research data, U.S. retail investors significantly shifted to buying near the close on Thursday, with net purchases exceeding $100 million in the final 10 minutes. However, by the close, retail investors still net sold $151 million for the entire day.

About 1 hour before the close, retail selling was originally on track to be the worst single-day sell-off since the early pandemic panic. For comparison, the record single-day net selling by retail investors during the 2020 pandemic was $502 million.
