OpenAI team helps affected OpenCode API users restore service and refunds credits consumed during the attack

On October 19, Tibo, who oversees Codex and ChatGPT at OpenAI, said on X that his team worked with OpenCode to help OpenCode users who also use the OpenAI API restore service, and to refund the credits consumed during the attack. He also said users can apply for Daybreak Blue access to use configurations geared toward cyber defense. Previously, OpenCode disclosed that its Console service suffered a large-scale model distillation attack, affecting about 1.4% of users.
