October 20 – According to CoinDesk, Kazakhstan's financial regulator has obtained a court order restricting Coinbase and five other cryptocurrency platforms from offering unauthorized services within the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). The Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) said the ban covers platforms including BingX, Bitcoin.com, Huobi Global (HTX), BitMart, Coinbase and WEEX. The court order prohibits these platforms from offering or promoting unlicensed digital asset services within the centre, and prohibits the distribution of mobile applications used for such services.

The Astana International Financial Centre is a financial hub located in Kazakhstan's capital, with an independent legal framework and regulator. The centre requires cryptocurrency businesses to obtain a license before they can operate.
