Japan's Nikkei rises 2%, South Korea's KOSPI extends intraday gains to 3%

October 21 - Japan's Nikkei index rose 2% to 65,359.90. South Korea's KOSPI index extended its intraday gains to 3%, with SK Hynix (SKHY.O) up 6% and Samsung Electronics up 4.6%.
