October 25 — According to Bloomberg, SpaceX's proposed $40 billion AI financing plan has reportedly run into obstacles. Sources said SpaceX intends to raise funds through a special purpose vehicle (SPV), a structure that can move the related liabilities off its balance sheet in order to protect SpaceX's own investment-grade credit rating. However, recent sharp swings in the credit market have complicated negotiations over borrowing costs, and investors have already begun to reassess the risks of providing financing for large-scale AI infrastructure projects. Goldman Sachs is currently leading discussions with investors led by Apollo Global Management.
