US Senator Lummis: New Crypto Fundraising Limits Included in CLARITY Act

October 25: US Senator Cynthia Lummis posted that Democrats had previously requested lowering the annual fundraising cap under Regulation Crypto from $75 million to $50 million and adding a $200 million lifetime fundraising cap. Lummis said the relevant parties agreed to both requests and incorporated them into the CLARITY Act, but she also criticized Democratic lawmakers for ultimately voting against rules she had previously drafted aimed at protecting retail investors.
