Ledger: Atom Features a Physical Privacy Switch That Cuts Camera and Microphone Power at the Circuit Level

Oct. 26 — Ledger has unveiled the physical privacy switch (Privacy Switch) feature of its new device, Ledger Atom. Flipping the switch cuts power to the camera and microphone at the circuit level, and Ledger says no app, malware, or remote attacker can turn them back on. A Secure Bar on the device displays the switch's position. In Secure Mode, the camera and microphone remain unpowered regardless of the switch's position. Ledger has also opened pre-orders for the Ledger Atom Founders Edition.
