NBA Partners With Kalshi and Polymarket, Formally Entering Prediction Markets

Oct 27, 00:30

October 27 — According to an official NBA announcement, the NBA has named Kalshi and Polymarket as the league's "preferred prediction market exchanges." Both will receive rights to use NBA intellectual property, U.S. marketing rights, and official data provided by Sportradar for operating and settling NBA-related markets; DraftKings, meanwhile, is expanding its partnership to become a "licensed prediction market operator." The NBA also signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to collaborate on cooperation and information sharing, and to establish an integrity framework, including limiting the scope of tradeable markets, prohibiting league and team personnel from trading NBA event contracts, and sharing information on investigations and suspicious transactions. The NBA said more licensed prediction market operators will be added in the coming weeks.
