Marinade Waives Validator Bond Penalties Tied to Agave Client Slot-Skipping Issue

Oct. 27: Solana staking protocol Marinade said that Agave 4.3.2 nodes running Alpenglow skip about half of their slots in the first block-production window of each Epoch (era), and the fix code has been merged but not yet released.

Until the fixed version ships, the Protected Staking Rewards (PSR) mechanism will not deduct validator bonds for those slots, and the Staking Auction Market (SAM) will not count them as failing uptime requirements. Marinade stressed that client bugs should not be the validators' responsibility.
