Anthropic Expands Cooperation with US GSA, Government Buyers Get 40% Off Claude

October 28 — According to Anthropic's official blog, Anthropic has signed a new OneGov agreement with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). Government customers purchasing Claude Enterprise, Claude for Government and the Claude API can enjoy a 40% discount, covering direct purchases as well as cloud provider channels to be launched over the coming months, and extending for the first time to state, local, tribal and territorial governments. Anthropic estimates the agreement will save governments about $1 billion, and there is no minimum spending threshold. About 500 U.S. federal, state and local government agencies currently use Claude, and weekly active users of Claude for Government have grown about 8x since February.
