TokenPocket's Hardware Wallet KeyPal Moves to Clear Non-Essential Personal Data Within 15 Days of Order Completion
October 29: TokenPocket's hardware wallet brand KeyPal announced it will push to clear non-essential personal information within 15 days after an order is completed. Citing user information leaks and supply-chain security risks in the hardware wallet industry, KeyPal said it will further strengthen its user privacy protection and data security management mechanisms.
KeyPal said it has not found any security intrusion into its own systems or any customer data leak, and that this adjustment is a proactive, preventive measure taken in response to changes in industry risks. Under the plan, for orders that have been confirmed as received, fully fulfilled, and free of after-sales disputes or other legitimate retention requirements, KeyPal will aim to delete or de-identify non-essential customer personal information within 15 days of order completion. KeyPal said hardware wallet security involves not only private key protection and transaction signing, but also the protection of personal information generated during the purchase, delivery and after-sales service process.
