Ansem on Bitcoin Short-Term Trading: Delayed Expected Move Can Be a Signal to Exit

Oct 31, 12:17

October 31: Well-known trader Ansem posted that time is an often-underestimated risk management factor in short-term trading. When he enters a position expecting rapid price movement, he wants the market to move in the expected direction within a relatively short period. If Bitcoin lingers near his entry price for a long time and fails to develop as expected, he will re-evaluate the trade thesis.

Ansem added that the advantage of short-term trading is the ability to identify earlier whether a trade is working, so sometimes even if the stop-loss level has not been triggered, he exits early because the move has not unfolded as expected. In judging whether a trade is still worth holding, both price and time are important considerations.
