Mercado Bitcoin Says It Has Frozen $11 Million in Stolen Assets

November 3: Brazilian crypto exchange Mercado Bitcoin posted on X that the assets involved in the current security incident are worth approximately $38 million. It has worked with partners including Tether, Circle, Paxos, BRL1 and Chainalysis to freeze $11 million, other freezable funds have been identified, and the related handling is still ongoing. The exchange reiterated that users will not suffer asset losses from this security incident, and that the service restoration time will be announced only through official channels.
