November 5: According to Bloomberg, people familiar with the matter said Goldman Sachs and Apollo Global Management are in talks with Wall Street investors to sell portions of SpaceX's roughly $40 billion chip financing deal, with some investors asked to subscribe up to $500 million before the formal syndication process begins.

The debt includes an $8.3 billion senior secured loan and multiple bond tranches, with Goldman leading the loan portion, Apollo the main bond investor, and Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) also participating.

The financing, together with $7 billion in lease prepayments, will be used to purchase roughly $47.3 billion of Nvidia Rubin chips expected to be delivered in the first half of 2027, and SpaceX will lease the chips under a five-year agreement.

The report said pressure on the AI boom has intensified further after Democrats won the midterm elections.
