X Rewrites Its Web App: Profile's First Post Now Loads in 2.7 Seconds on Weak Networks, Down From 22 Seconds

November 5 — Yagiz Nizipli, who leads X's web team, posted on X that the rewrite of X's web app has paid off: on slow network connections, the old X web took more than 22 seconds to display the first post on a profile, while the new version takes only 2.7 seconds. X has published a post on its engineering blog detailing how it was implemented, and the new web app is being rolled out country by country.
