Yi He: UID Collisions Do Not Exist, as Binance's Local Fiat Platforms in Turkey, Thailand, the US and Elsewhere Do Not Share an Account System
Nov 7 — Binance co-founder Yi He responded to a user's claim that a "UID collision caused asset loss," stating that each Binance user has only one independent, unique UID and that UID collisions do not exist. When transferring funds from the Binance main platform to Binance Thailand, the user mistakenly entered the UID directly to make the transfer, and although there was a secondary confirmation step, they did not check it carefully. After the incident, Yi He herself and four employees followed the case throughout and helped freeze the relevant funds immediately. Because the receiving user is inactive and has not responded, contact and negotiation are still ongoing.
Yi He reminded users that Binance Turkey, Binance Thailand, Binance US and other local fiat trading platforms are independent platforms and do not share an account system, so please carefully check the address and UID when making routine transfers and withdrawals.
