Nvidia Cargo Worth Over 76 Million Yuan Mysteriously Vanishes

Nov 8, 16:03

November 8: According to a Jin10 report, police in Oakland, California, are currently investigating a cargo theft case involving tech company Nvidia. The stolen items are AI chips and computer hardware, valued at up to $11.4 million (about 76.1 million yuan). Analysts said this may be a carefully planned theft targeting a high-tech company.

According to the case details, a truck loaded with Nvidia cargo departed from Oakland, California, on August 29 this year, bound for Fort Worth, Texas. The pickup process followed the original arrangements, but the truck ultimately lost contact, and the victim reported the case to police on September 13. Police tracking found that the truck had stopped multiple times along the way, with single stops lasting several hours, and finally disappeared in San Bernardino County in southeastern California. As of now, police have not arrested any suspects. Experts also said that this batch of chips sells for nearly twice the price outside the United States as it does within the U.S., and the possibility that the stolen goods have already been transported out of the country cannot be ruled out.
