He Yi: Do Not Transfer Suspicious Funds Tied to Myanmar, Cambodia or "Discounted USDT" into Binance — Once Frozen, Binance Has No Authority to Unfreeze

November 8: Binance co-founder He Yi reminded users not to transfer several types of funds into Binance, including "a friend's discounted USDT," "coins a relative sent on-chain," "money from doing business in Myanmar," "payments collected in Cambodia," and "a friend's money that just passed through the account." He Yi said Binance enforces global compliance standards, its compliance team can easily identify such funds, the related addresses are already flagged before the funds are transferred in, and after the transfer the funds may be frozen by law enforcement. Such cases are usually complex and take a long time to resolve, and Binance has no authority to unfreeze the funds.
