Trump Appoints Jay Clayton to Lead "Superintelligence Unit"

On October 4, according to Cointelegraph, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday via Truth Social that he has officially nominated current Director of National Intelligence and former SEC Chairman Jay Clayton to lead the newly established "Superintelligence Corps".

In his statement, Trump noted that the department aims to coordinate federal government resources to ensure the U.S. continues to lead global "superintelligence" development. It is reported that this initiative draws on the organizational model of the Space Force.

Other key members confirmed include Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson, Director of the Office of Personnel Management Scott Cooper, and Deputy Under Secretary for Readiness Research Emil Michael. According to reports, Clayton will continue to serve concurrently as Director of National Intelligence to oversee operations.
