Aptos Governance Proposal Voting Enables Encrypted Transaction Feature to Reduce MEV Risk
On October 5, Aptos governance proposal #206 is currently open for voting, proposing to enable ChunkyDKG V1 full mode and the encrypted_transactions feature. This mechanism supports encrypted transactions via distributed key generation, concealing transaction contents prior to consensus ordering, after which validators collaborate to decrypt them, thereby reducing front-running and MEV risks. The voting period for the proposal concludes on October 6. While the approval rate currently stands at nearly 100%, voter turnout is only 2.69%, falling short of the required 24.8% quorum.
