Zcash advocacy group PGPZ files Washington lobbying registration, focusing on issues including the CLARITY Act.
October 5 — Pretty Good Policy for Zcash (PGPZ), an advocacy organization focused on Zcash, filed a Washington lobbying registration on October 1. Its sole lobbyist is Executive Director Divij Pandya. The registration lists current and expected lobbying issues, including the CLARITY Act and two digital asset tax proposals. PGPZ was established in June this year, spun off from Pretty Good Policy for Crypto, which was launched by Electric Coin Co. in 2022; that initiative previously hosted policy roundtables in Washington and organized a congressional briefing on crypto technology in 2023.
Paul Brigner, founder of PGPZ and Chief Policy and Regulatory Officer at ZODL, said the goal is to ensure Zcash has serious, organized, and credible policy engagement in Washington. In August, Zcash Community Grants approved $750,000 in funding for PGPZ's first year of work. (Cointelegraph)
