Polymarket founder teases speech at Token 2049 event, community speculates token info announcement.

October 5: Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket, posted on the X platform this morning that he will attend the Token 2049 event and give a speech. The tweet also cited a comparison of Polymarket and Hyperliquid's revenue data and token market capitalization.

As a result, the community, represented by Andy (@andyyy), host of the crypto podcast The Rollup, began to speculate that Shayne Coplan may release information related to a Polymarket token in his speech.

However, Polymarket has recently brought in executives from companies such as Amazon, Uber, the New York Stock Exchange, Coinbase, and Robinhood in quick succession, and has newly created positions including CFO and compliance roles, while also advancing U.S. business and trading infrastructure adjustments. Some analysts believe that this series of organizational restructuring may be related to preparations for a future listing.
