October 5th, according to Reuters, the private valuation of crypto-friendly bank Revolut has reached 115 billion US dollars, making it the highest-valued startup in Europe, surpassing the valuations of Barclays Bank in the UK and Societe Generale in France. The company currently has 80 million customers, close to JPMorgan Chase's 84 million and higher than HSBC's 41 million. Revolut is applying for more market licenses, driving business expansion from Mexico to regions such as Australia.

Revolut's pre-tax profit for 2025 is 1.7 billion pounds, lower than Barclays Bank's 9 billion pounds, but it still maintains rapid growth. Its revenue comes from a variety of products such as payments, foreign exchange, and card subscriptions, rather than mainly relying on loans. As of the end of 2025, Revolut's loan scale was only 2.2 billion pounds, with a loan-to-deposit ratio of 6%, significantly lower than HSBC's 55% and Societe Generale's 86%.

Revolut still faces issues such as low revenue per customer, limited scale of its loan business, and insufficient usage of primary accounts. In the US market, the company has a temporary license but will face more intense competition. In addition, Revolut was previously fined in Lithuania for anti-money laundering deficiencies and in September mistakenly sent some customer data to hackers impersonating government investigators.
