Analyst: BTC spot trading volume shows a modest rebound, but demand remains insufficient to support new highs.

Oct 5, 11:21

On October 5 that crypto analyst Darkfost stated Bitcoin spot trading volume has seen a modest recovery since the recent lows in July, though the overall rebound remains limited. When Bitcoin touched these lows in July, spot volume also dropped to its lowest level since the previous bear market, reflecting the weakest market interest in BTC over the past three years. Trading volume has since picked up slightly, but a clear recovery has yet to materialize.

Data disclosed by Darkfost shows that Binance's spot volume rose to over $50 billion in September, up from $42 billion in July; Bybit's spot volume climbed from $14 billion in July to $19 billion, while Kraken increased from $4 billion to $8 billion. This moderate growth in spot volume accompanies Bitcoin's latest upward momentum, but if BTC aims to challenge new highs, the market still requires further expansion in spot trading activity, particularly driven by fresh demand.
