Japanese and Korean stocks close lower

On Oct 8, the Nikkei 225 index closed down 993.60 points on Thursday (Oct 8), down 1.42% to 69042.11 points. South Korea's KOSPI index closed down 159.63 points on Thursday (Oct 8), down 2.35% to 6644.27 points, with SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics each falling approximately 2.4%. (Jin10)
