Anthropic Opens Office in Singapore, Signs MOU with Government

On October 14, according to the official Anthropic website, Anthropic announced the opening of its fifth Asia-Pacific office in Singapore, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information. The two parties will collaborate in areas such as AI safety, model evaluation, and responsible AI adoption. Singapore is one of Claude’s most active global markets, with over a thousand government agencies and enterprises, including GovTech Singapore, DBS, Grab, and GIC, already deploying Claude. Among them, over 1,500 engineers at GovTech Singapore have adopted Claude Code to advance government system modernization, while Grab saves approximately 40,000 hours of labor per quarter using a Claude-driven sales assistant.
