ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent Order Over $35 Billion Worth of NVIDIA RTX PRO 5500 Chips

On October 21, according to an exclusive Reuters report, ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent have ordered over 3 million units of Nvidia's new RTX PRO 5500 workstation GPUs. At a unit price of approximately $11,400, the total order value exceeds $35 billion. Sources familiar with the matter state that total orders from Chinese clients have surpassed 6 million units, far exceeding Nvidia's planned production. Nvidia has informed partners that they may actually only receive 5% to 10% of their ordered quantities, and the global production cap for 2027 will be around 3 million units.
