On October 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in an interview that Ukraine could reach a peace agreement on the condition of retaining control over at least 75% of its territory. When asked by the host whether he would be willing to accept a peace agreement that freezes everything along the current lines while Ukraine maintains control of 75% or more of its territory, Zelenskyy answered affirmatively, stating, "We must now freeze (the front lines); this is a practical way to end this war."
