Securitize Partners with Anchorage to Integrate Stablecoin Minting, Redemption, and Custody Settlement

Oct 21, 20:37

On October 21, Securitize announced a partnership with Anchorage Digital Bank to introduce stablecoins issued by federally chartered banks onto its platform. Securitize will directly facilitate the minting and redemption of the stablecoin through Anchorage Digital Bank, while the bank will handle custody and settlement. This ensures the entire process is managed by compliant banking institutions, allowing institutional investors to achieve counterparty and custody standards on the USD side of tokenized asset transactions that match those of the securities side.

Additionally, nearly 99% of the roughly $530 million in reserves for the USDtb stablecoin, co-issued by Anchorage Digital Bank and Ethena, is held in the BlackRock BUIDL fund tokenized by Securitize. According to Securitize, as global stocks, bonds, and funds gradually migrate on-chain, the corresponding settlement funds must also adhere to equivalent compliance and custody standards.
