Coinbase Derivatives Platform Suspends Futures and Perpetual Contract Trading, Plans Up to 9 Hours of Maintenance
On October 24, according to Crypto Briefing, Coinbase Derivatives will begin scheduled system maintenance at 18:00 Beijing Time on October 24, expected to last up to nine hours, and is scheduled to conclude around 3:00 AM on October 25. During the maintenance window, futures and perpetual contract trading will be suspended, and users will be unable to submit new orders or modify existing ones, though they can still log in to their accounts and view their balances.
Coinbase noted that this maintenance serves both as part of its quarterly routine system updates and aligns with the annual disaster recovery test conducted by the Futures Industry Association (FIA), designed to validate the backup system's failover capability in the event of unexpected outages.
Currently, Coinbase Derivatives is progressively enabling 24/7 continuous trading, seven days a week, for select derivatives, while continuing to maintain necessary scheduled maintenance windows.
