Former Aptos advisor Buzz stepped down, sold his APT holdings, and shifted his focus to promoting Meta stock on social media.
On October 29, according to Decrypt, internet meme creator and former Aptos advisor BuzzlamicJihad (Buzz) departed from Aptos following the expiration of his one-year advisory contract, announcing that he had sold all his APT token holdings. He described the non-renewal as a "mutual decision," citing that certain initiatives failed to advance as planned. Aptos did not respond to requests for comment.
Buzz subsequently shifted his meme marketing focus to Meta, stating that retail investors were being overlooked, and pointed out Meta's newly established voting-rights-exempt Class C shares. He also highlighted Meta's strong fundamentals, speculating that its AI agent Muse could potentially benefit from yields generated by stablecoin capital accumulation. This is strictly his personal viewpoint and does not reflect any official plans by Meta.
