UK FCA and HTX reach settlement

Oct 29, 20:13

On October 29, according to an announcement by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the FCA has reached a settlement with HTX (formerly Huobi) and obtained an undertaking from the UK High Court ordering HTX not to knowingly directly or indirectly illegally promote crypto-asset services to UK consumers. HTX had previously taken steps to exit the UK market following the initiation of legal proceedings, and currently, UK users can no longer make deposits, while new users are unable to register.

The FCA filed a lawsuit against HTX in October 2025, alleging violations of financial promotion regulations. This settlement between HTX and the UK regulator does not constitute an admission by HTX of any illegality or misconduct.
